Imogen Heap: Queen of the New Underground
These days most people know the name Imogen Heap. But if you don’t recognize her name, you’ll certainly recognize her music from the first few bars. Ethereal, unique, inspiring, captivating, cutting-edge, bold, experimental, soothing, heart-wrenching, masterful—just a few of the words I would use to describe Imogen’s sound. For me Imogen Heap is the Queen of the new Underground. For those of you who don’t know who I am talking about, please let me introduce you to musical innovator Imogen Heap. Even if you aren’t sure if you’ve ever heard her music before, the opening riffs of the memorable Let Go released by Imogen’s side-project Frou Frou, will definitely bring back memories of rushing to the dance floor to interpret this song with your own brand of voodoo.
